CRUISIN' DOWN SEYMOUR

Classic cars of yesteryears are cruising into the gates of Seymour Lake Township Park to show support for Oxford’s Community Free Meals. Join us at Burdick Street Landscape Supply & Equipment as we cruise through Downtown Oxford to Seymour Lake Township Park.

VINTAGE BICYLE SHOW

Vintage Bicycles of yesteryears are pedaling into the gates of Seymour Lake Township Park to show support for Oxford’s Community Free Meals. This event is combined with Cruisin Down Seymour. Bring a Vintage Bicycle and/or classic car to show off. Collectors are welcome to bring as many bikes as they would like. Awards for the oldest bicycle and for people’s choice.

3rd Annual Health & Wellness Fair at Oxford Township Senior Center on Thursday, September 19 from 11:00am- 1:00pm

Secretary of State Mobile Office will be on site to complete your Secretary of State transactions from 10:00am- 3:00pm. 

SECRETARY OF STATE MOIBLE OFFICE

The Secretary of State Mobile Office will be visiting Oxford Senior Center to provide service to Oxford and Neighboring Community Seniors to complete their Secretary of State Transactions. Transactions including First-time Michigan ID, Renew Driver’s License or ID, Transfer Title, Apply for or renew disability placard.

HOME SAFETY AND FALL PREVENTION

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS- JOSHEPHINES JOURNEY

Learn about risk factors for falls, and how to prevent falls in your home through techniques such as home safety tips, exercises, and more in order to decrease risks of falls for yourself and or loved one. This course is taught by the owner of Living Solutions Plus, Lindsey McLean, who is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and Certified as a Home Accessibility Therapist.

CANDY CANE DAY

Join us for an afternoon of holiday cheer. Wear your favorite red and white and join us for holiday desserts and a sing-a-long as Santa makes a special appearance. 
Bring in non-perishable items to help fill holiday stockings. Lets see how many holiday stockings we can fill. Holiday stockings will be donated to Free Meals Program.

Learn what it can be like when faced with a breat cancer diagnosis: Josephines Roach, a seven-year survivor, advocate, and author, will talk about the feelings she experienced when given this diagnosis and what was helpful to her. Breast cancer awareness will also be discussed. She will read excerpts from her book, “Josephine’s Journey: A Breast Cancer Survivor’s Story of Hope.” Signed copies of her book will be available for $20.

ALZHEIMER / DEMENTIA CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUP

Valeria DeNike has worked with Alzheimer / Dementia patients & their families for 44 years. Her experience as an Activity Director & Senior Resource Manager at O.P.C. in Rochester has given her a lot of information to share. She trained with the Alzheimer Association of Michigan to lead a support group for two years. Come get the support & information you need!

GETTING STARTED WITH RC FLYING

Are you interested in radio-controlled flying? Do you have a drone, airplane or helicopter that you need help flying? Interested in getting into the hobby? Do you have questions on insurance or FAA regulations?

Come to short introductory class on getting started in RC with members of the Skymasters RD of Michigan flying club.
